Collectivization of Russian Peasants
This motion graphics project attempts to tell the story of the rounding up and eventual death of a small group of Soviet peasants. Though it is based on events in Russia, its meaning can be applied to any event throughout history where the consequences of forcibly moving large amounts of people have been felt. The music that provides the soundtrack is by a group called Alpha alphaheaven.com , the track is called 'With' from their album 'Come from Heaven'. It was chosen for its soothing melodic tones that would contrast yet complement the dark imagery of this animation. The lyrics also verbalise the sense of fear that the characters in this animation feel. Most of the imagery was sourced from istockphoto.com and later modified.
